a husband and wife team serving many communities in Northern Nevada.

Avalon Disaster Services is a Certified Firm with the Institution of Inspection, IICRC Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC), and is currently one of only two businesses in Northern Nevada which holds a Master Certification in Water Restoration and Fire and Smoke Restoration, as well as a Master Certification in Textile cleaning. To obtain these certifications you must have 3 years minimum experience, have all the necessary classes, and maintain ongoing training with continuing education. Master classification requires both past and future extensive training to both earn and maintain. Avalon Disaster Services is also a Certified Firm which requires that we maintain a certain level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, necessary insurance and a business license.  


Brief History

In 1998 Boyd Johnson almost lost his hand in an accident and could no longer work his job. After 2 years of surgeries and recovery, Boyd and Tina Johnson started their own home-based business for Boyd to have a new occupation. Since Tina had over 14 years of experience in the flooring industry, and Boyd had experience in high-rise window cleaning in Oklahoma City, they started Fallon Window & Carpet Cleaning.

Their passion to provide quality work earned them a reputation with their customers that caused their business to grow exponentially. Now, Fallon Window & Carpet Cleaning, Inc. has grown into a 3500 sq. ft. commercial building with 9 employees on staff, two 14’ box trucks with Nissan engine truck mounts, one standard van, plus numerous other equipment and vehicles.  In addition, the corporation has a new division, Avalon Disaster Services, which allows them to help people in times of need when they have a disaster.

  Service Truck Owner/Operator Tina Johnson says, "We strongly believe in standing behind all work that we do and customer satisfaction is very important to us.We try to treat people as we like to be treated and to treat their personal belongings and homes as if they were our own."  

In July of 2006, the Johnsons finally realized their dream of purchasing property for their business to call home. They will be relocating to their new home in May of 2007 at 4175 Reno Highway in Fallon. This property is 1.82 acres and will allow the company to continue expanding in order to better serve customers' needs. Eventually, they plan to have a new commercial building constructed complete with drying and containment rooms.
